This advanced Digital Water Purity Meter measures the total disolved solids (TDS) in water. It is designed to identify the existance of metals, minerals and inorganic elements. Many inorganic elements commonly found in water have known and potential health risks. The reading is expressed in parts per million (ppm). The higher the reading of your water the greater the probability of harmful contaminants in your water. Does NOT detect organic contaminants (cysts, bacteria, viruses, etc.)
